The Bliss Movement

The Bliss Movement

Goodbye Bangkok, Goodbye Thailand

“Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk
again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter,
the road is life.”
-Jack Kerouac

I have a newfound love for Bangkok. Okay, so maybe I wouldn’t call it love but I definitely feel more friendly about Bangkok than I did before. I first felt this feeling when I stepped off the plane from Hanoi. By the time I was in the taxi, speeding down the highway, it felt like all of my stress and worry had disappeared. That quickly.

And I realized that this was how I felt every time that I arrived in Bangkok. Whether it’s because I know that it is my gateway into the rest of Thailand or not, it has made me appreciate the city and want to explore it that much more.

Even though these past few days have been a big ball of panic, as I left my passport behind and had to change my flight twice, I had such a wonderful last day in Bangkok that I wish I was able to stay longer. But, I am due to catch a flight in seven hours and as much as I would love to stay here, I’m not about to miss this flight. So now I say a bittersweet goodbye to Bangkok and the rest of Thailand and here are some photos of my lovely last day in Thailand.
